	KHARTOUM, Sudan, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- The Khartoum International Fair is  
opening with the participation of some 600 international firms from 35 
countries. 
	The exhibition will be inaugurated today by Sudanese President Omar  
al-Bachir and will be attended by a number of trade and economy 
ministers from participating countries. 
	The fair runs until Feb. 28 and products displayed include machinery,  
vehicles, electronics, building materials, textiles and chemicals. 
	Mohammed Abbas, director of Sudan's free trade zones company, said  
the Sudanese organizing company has completed preparations and prepared 
60 booths for direct sale to the exhibition's visitors. 
	Promotion director Mohammed al-Tayyeb Ahmed said concerts and  
seminars will also be held to identify investment opportunities in 
Sudan.
